Mark Aulie

Mark has more than 24 years of experience in national and regional advertising agencies. His background includes a specialist teaching position as a graphic arts instructor at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and he has been an active member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and Lake Superior Ad Club for more than 20 years.

His educational background includes general education at Brainerd Junior College followed by a two-year Communication Arts program at Staples AVTI. Today both educational facilities are part of the Brainerd Lakes Community College system. During his secondary and post-secondary school years, Mark served as a writer and photographer for a regional newspaper.

Mark began his career in advertising at J.F.P. & Associates, Inc., located in Duluth. At the agency Mark was responsible as part of a creative team for developing and producing programs for national consumer brands, national industrial manufacturers, regional utilities, financial and banking institutions, regional healthcare, northeastern Minnesota tourism, as well as others.

In 1983, Mark was named creative director when J.F.P. & Associates relocated their headquarters to Florida. The Duluth agency was subsequently sold to The Bradseth Group, Ltd. where Mark led a creative team in developing advertising programs for their national and regional clients.

In 1986, Mark joined H.T. Klatzky & Associates in Duluth as an associate creative director concentrating on travel tourism, financial, utilities and service industries.

In 1990, Mark and his family of five relocated to Virginia to live closer to their vacation home on Lake Vermilion. Throughout his career, Mark has been a competitive member of northeastern Minnesota's advertising community winning numerous awards of excellence year after year.
