When it comes to reaching a mass audience cost-effectively, television is still the king of the hill. Even with all the other media competion, TV still dominates Americans' leisure time to the tune of 5.9 hours per day on weekdays and 5.5 on the weekends. However, with the advent of cable and satellite, TV has exploded from a market of three dominant networks to literally hundreds of networks and channels to choose from.
